A single detached Live/ Work unit.
The site originally formed part of the curtilage of a large Victorian house but was sectioned off for potential development. Several applications and appeals were unsuccessful for residential development due to insensitive designs and planning policies. The brief required a live/ work unit comprising living accommodation on the ground floor and working accommodation on the lower ground floor. |

Mixed Use development comprising Retail, Workshop, Live/ Work and Residential Apartments.
Sitting on an prominent site on a main road into Llangollen, the site has a number of challenges. The tight site has a storey difference in levels and fronts directly onto the River Dee which is designated as an SAC and SSSI site. The brief called for a contemporary but responsive design reflecting the industrial nature of the surrounding buildings. New contemporary additions were added to the existing mill to provide a new circulation core and a roof top extension. |

A single detached commercial office unit
The site of a former single storey workshop required an innovative solution to create this two-storey office building; the opportunities for natural daylight were limited to the front elevation and rooflights and as the site was so tight and imaginative solution was required. |
