Project Summary: |
The Grade II* listed building in Manchester City Centre has been vacant for a number of years. The building owner had a requirement to convert the building into a 4* hotel comprising approximately 400 bedrooms, restaurant bars and a live events venue in the Atrium, hosting concerts, exhibitions, sports events among others. Minimum external alterations were allowed but contemporary internal additions will help to create an unique venue in the City Centre |
| Project Challenges: | Grade II* listed & on English Heritage's Buildings at Risk register; retain and incorporation of key features; tight city centre island site; incorporation of live events venue into ground floor area of hotel. |
