Ian Hunter (BA (Hons), MArch, RIBA, RTPI, BIPP) is a young, dynamic and professional Chartered RIBA Architect, RTPI Chartered Town Planner, Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor, Eco Homes Assessor, BIPP Professional Photographer and recently appointed as a CABE Enabler.

As Managing Director of the company Ian’s unique outlook has added value to all of the projects he works on. Ian’s passion for the built environment, skills and experience combined with efficient and flexible working practices has enabled the company to grow and succeed in the most difficult of times for the wider economy and in particular the construction industry. In his previous employments he worked on a large number of complex projects where Ian’s problem solving, communication and negotiation skills ensured that his projects were delivered to tight timescales.

Gillian Hunter (BA (Hons), MArch, RIBA) is Hunter Architects & Planners Design Director. Gillian is an RIBA Chartered Architect, with a wide range of experience at all scales in the residential, education, commercial, masterplanning and leisure sectors. 

Gillian’s design flair combined with commercial awareness and practicality has seen many of her exciting designs progress from feasibility studies to built projects. At the planning stage, Gillian has worked on developments ranging in size from one off private dwellings to 150-200+ residential units, successfully translating the clients technical requirements into contemporary architectural developments and securing planning approval. As project architect, Gillian has led a number of projects on site, successfully managing both traditional contracts and design and build work.

Hunter Architects is a young dynamic multi-disciplinary company located in Altrincham, Cheshire and Northop, Mold, Flintshire. Hunter Architects & Planners was formed in 2007 and the company has worked on a wide number of projects at a variety of scales throughout Manchester, Cheshire, Flintshire and Denbighshire, but also across the North West of England, Scotland, Ireland and France.
Hunter Architects & Planners provide a cost effective and professional service from inception to completion, utilising our Architectural and Planning expertise.  We specialise in planning strategies, creative thinking, delivering projects to tight timetables and maximising the development potential of sites among other things. Core Services provided by RIBA Chartered Practice Feasibility studies, site optimisation, site finding, brief development, option and development appraisals, urban design and strategy planning are part of the core services that are regularly performed by Hunter Architects & Planners. We also work with a number of consultants including Property Surveyors and Estate Agents to provide a full package and can assist with business case planning, development appraisals and strategic decisions.
Hunter Architects & Planners have also been appointed to provide a range of professional services in the collaborative framework under the North Wales Procurement Partnership. Hunter Architects are an RIBA Chartered Practice and committed to improving the quality of the built environment
