Architects Knutsford helping to achieve planning permission for your residential domestic project.
It is an affluent popular place to live, due to its proximity to the surrounding business centres as well as its links to open Countryside.
The two main streets, Princess Street and King Street form the hub of the town. There are a range of chain and independent shops, bars and restaurants. Most noteworthy, with a particular emphasis on fine food retail, including a farmers market.
To one end of King Street, the entrance to Tatton Park can be found. Tatton Park gives its name to the parliamentary constituency of the same name. This has been made famous in recent years by the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, as well in earlier times the independent, former BBC correspondent, Martin Bell.
Knutsford is connected to the wider area by the rail. This provides access to Altrincham, Stockport, Manchester and Chester among others, as well as a regular bus service. The M6 and M56 Motorways provide easy access to the rest of the area. Manchester Airport is also nearby.
The town is home to a few notable businesses, including one of the only Tesla sports car dealerships in the Country. They replaced McLaren who subsequently replaced Rolls-Royce as a main focal point as one entered the town.
Knutsford was also the setting, and inspiration, for the novel (and now TV show) Cranford, by Elizabeth Gaskell. She lived in the town for many years and is now buried in the local churchyard. The Knutsford Heritage Centre provides further information and helps bring this history to life, including with guided walks of the area.
