Timeless Elegance for a Hidden Gem in Hale
Ambition
Experienced renovators Sally and Brian had spent the last ten years dabbling in property before they fell upon this hidden gem, which required a full house remodelling, in Cheshire’s sought-after Hale.
With a clear vision and intention for the building, the couple needed a Hale Architect who could accurately interpret their ideas, secure the required planning permission and realise their dreams. Existing house remodelling plans, drawn up by the previous owners, did little to inspire.
Hunter Architect’s insight and appetite for ambitious design ensured the property fulfilled its potential. Together with Sally and Brian, a more radical reinvention was devised which doubled the size of the existing house.
Action
Space was key here; space to breathe, to grow, to enjoy life, family and the future. The 4,000 sq ft space houses four generous bedrooms, including two identically-sized suites for the couple’s teenage daughters.
After years of renovating houses and undertaking house remodelling projects, it was important this forever home offered Sally and Brian’s family an environment they could thrive in.
Emphasis was placed on how it would feel to live here.
En-suites and dressing rooms accommodate the privacy and independence of growing young adults. Connection and elevation throughout the ground floor welcome in the garden, accommodate a large family room and ensure the smart yet stylish inclusion of practical space.
A precise and consistent use of materials adds a timeless elegance to this home. Stone, timber and local Cheshire brick were used; local joiner Phillip Howard supplied the bespoke kitchen and utility room; bathrooms and tiles were carefully sourced from businesses in the surrounding area.
Transformation
This is a home intentionally created with attention and foresight. The result is a balanced, beautiful and light space that draws you in and entices you to stay.
